ESS will not only become the world’s most powerful, but also the world’s most advanced neutron source. The experiments at the neutron source will take place at the facility in Lund, while data processing will take place in Copenhagen. DTU is, among other things, responsible for developing some of the instruments to be constructed in connection with the neutron source and used for future measurements.

PowerLabDK supports technological development, testing, and training which contribute to the development of reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy systems based on renewable energy sources.

PILOT PLANT’s expertise is centred around chemical unit operations, reaction engineering, process management, process and plant design, instrumentation, construction materials, automation, and industrial measurement technique, but also within areas such as scale-up and scale-down and batch versus continuous processes.

The anechoic chamber allows the simulation of an environment without acoustic reflexes.

Dana is Denmark’s largest marine research vessel. Dana has equipment for hydrographic surveys and for collecting plankton and seabed fauna as well as fishing equipment.

CASMaT, Villum Center for Advanced Structural and Material Testing is the key research infrastructure at DTU servicing experimental research in mechanics of materials and structures. The Center is organized to align use of equipment and expertise at DTU across a range of application areas and length scales.
